I make a range of machine embroidered textiles for interiors. Working with fabrics lost and found, combining ancient wool blankets with sari silks, vintage French linens and mid-century barkcloth. I use the free-motion foot on a Bernina 850 to embroider images inspired by the flora and fauna of East Anglia – and sometimes further afield. Fabrics are cut, often mended and layered, creating contour and body to the finished work. Each piece of work is unique, although a design may be repeated no two pieces are ever exactly the same. I am a member of Cambridge Open Studios. I sell work through shops, galleries, fairs and also take commissions. — ANNA
