Spoilt Rotten Beads – BeadFest 2017

On Saturday 24th June 2017 we headed to Haddenham, Ely for BeadFest 2017 at Spoilt Rotten Beads. Throughout the open day they were holding free workshops, make and take sessions, and giveaways online and in store. It was a fantastic event and certainly had that festival vibe – with an outdoor marquee and Minty the VW Campervan! The Cambridge Art Book: Heffers Launch July 2017

Back in July we were lucky enough to get hold of tickets to the launch of The Cambridge Art Book, a fantastic publication showcasing the works of artists who are very much inspired by our beautiful City. Cambridge Creatives Photowalk: Spring 2017

On Sunday 23rd April 2017 we attended the Cambridge Creatives Photowalk organised by local designer-makers Claire Wilson (Claireabellemakes) and Jo Want (Hello Sunshine). The Spring event brought 70+ creative individuals to Cambridge to explore and photograph the city’s Instagram hotspots. Histon Handmade Easter Fair 2017

Last month we visited the Histon Handmade contemporary design and craft fair held at St Andrew’s Centre. This was the second Histon Handmade event hosted by founder Claire Howieson – a jewellery designer-maker from Oakington, Cambridge. Participants are carefully selected to ensure for a unique event and the standard of handmade goods was very impressive; with ceramics, jewellery, original artwork, soft furnishings, clocks, stationery, baskets, prints and greeting cards on offer. Cambridge Made Summer Fair 2016

Here comes Summer! The Etsy Cambridge team of artists and makers, now working under the banner of ‘Cambridge Made’, will be returning to their favourite venue, St Andrews Street Baptist church, on Saturday June 11th, 10am-5pm, for a sunny, fresh and cheerful Summer Fair. St Paul’s Arts Fest 2016

Back in March I attended the 2016 St Paul’s Arts Fest where I took part in creative workshops being held throughout the week. The community arts festival began on the 21st March 2016 at St Paul’s Community Centre (Hills Road, Cambridge CB2 1JP). Exhibition: The Secret Life of Ely Cathedral

Art Pop-Up by Eclectic Mix @ Hot Numbers

On Tuesday 23rd February 2016 a new event was launched at Hot Numbers Coffee, Gwydir Street, Cambridge. The highly attended Art Pop-Up run by Delia Naylor (Eclectic Mix) was a fantastic mix of late night shopping and live music; with Hot Numbers opening their bar for refreshments throughout the night.
