Cambridge Drawing Society are holding their next exhibition from Saturday 23rd – Saturday 30th March 2019 at The Pitt Building (Trumpington Street, Cambridge CB2 1RP). Cambridge Drawing Society was founded in 1882 and its members are artists who live within 30 miles of Great St Mary’s, Cambridge. The annual Spring exhibition showcases over 400 new and original works by around 100 different artists.
I visited the exhibition last year and was very impressed by the work on display – a wonderful selection of paintings, mixed media, collage, prints, illustrations and sculpture spanning two large rooms. It is definitely up there as one of the best local exhibitions I have visited – with such a high standard of work on show and a mixed price range for those who might be looking to make a purchase. The exhibition will be open 10-5:30PM with free admission, finishing at 4PM on Saturday 30th. It is opposite Fitzbillies so you get can your chelsea bun fix too!
