This Weekend: Great Chesterford Christmas Jewellery Fair & Orange Tree Christmas Fair

Get your Christmas shopping started this weekend! Two exciting local fairs are happening – the first in Saffron Walden, a large jewellery fair where you can browse collections of antique and vintage, modern and eccentric, preloved and costume pieces, as well as work from local silversmith and goldsmith artisans – and the second in Over, a handmade market where you will find original illustrations, prints, ceramics, candles, homewares, and much more from a great selection of local makers.

Rural Magpie will be hosting their Christmas Jewellery Fair tomorrow from 10-4PM (Saturday 10th November 2018) at The Chesterfords Community Centre (Great Chesterford, Saffron Walden CB10 1NU). Visitors can expect to see a fantastic showcase of vintage and handmade accessories – including exquisite jewellery – from over 25 vendors. The perfect shopping event for those of you looking to purchase jewellery as a gift this Christmas! Whether you are looking for simple statement pieces, quirky accessories or a precious engagement ring – we are sure you’ll find some treasures.

Our members Dittany Rose and Birgitte Bruun will be there alongside Maureen Charles, The Ethnic in the Village, Gina Kim Jewellery, Sandra Kerns Jewellery, Marion Curtis, Karen Faulkner-Dunkley, and more! Orange Tree Fairs are run by a talented collective of Cambridgeshire artisans who – after exhibiting alongside each other many times at previous craft fairs – decided in 2017 to come together and launch their own events! After a successful first fair they will be back this Sunday, 11th November 2018 from 11:05-4PM at Over Community Centre (16 The Doles, Over, Cambridge CB24 5NW).

This year’s full line-up of traders includes our members NokoDesigns, Caroline Henricksen, Rela Designs, Blue Design Shed, and Little Tinkers Gifts. You will also find a fabulous range of handcrafted goods from Gina Kim Jewellery, The Essential Soaps, Ruth Fairhead Ceramics, Pampered Paper, Buster and Lou, The Scented Candle Company, Sue Smith Art, Other Side Silly, The Sinful Bakery, Smallprint Cambridge, Fallen Leaf Makes, Emma Sadler Photography, The Funky Ladybird and Stylish Home Signs. Head down and support your local artists, designers and makers – and tick some presents off that Christmas list!
