Featured Members – July 2018: Tattypie, Sarah Brookes, Claireabellemakes & Jamie Sugg

The Trove Cambridge is proud to support local artists, designers and makers living and working in Cambridgeshire, UK.  In January 2018 we launched a membership offer inviting local creatives to join our Community and the response so far has been incredibly positive!  We are pleased to have welcomed 50 members on board so far and we are excited to introduce them to you.  This is the first in a monthly series of blog posts where you will get to meet our members and find out about their work!  Read on to discover illustrator Tattypie, wedding photographer Sarah Brookes, artist Jamie Sugg and designer-maker Claireabellemakes.

Emily Pettit is the illustrator behind Tattypie, she lives in Cambridge and has always loved creating.  Her designs are fun and vibrant – featuring animals, plants and insects, and we love how she incorporates puns into her range of prints and greetings cards!  Emily has recently started taking commissions for wedding invitations and shares lots of work in progress and behind the scenes shots over on her Instagram.

Sarah Brookes is a highly skilled fine art wedding photographer based near Huntingdon.  She uses her creative talent and experience to capture those treasured moments for couples on their special day.  Sarah likes to use natural light which enables her to create an intimate and romantic style in her images.  We love how relaxed her clients look in her photographs and it is no surprise that she has won several awards for her work.

Jamie Sugg is a landscape and wildlife artist based in Swaffham Bulbeck near Ely.  His work is very much inspired by the landscape, architecture and nature that surrounds him in the Fens.  Jamie works in a variety of media including acrylics and coloured pencil, and produces work in contrasting styles, from lifelike drawings to contemporary abstracts.  His studio will be open this month as part of the annual Cambridge Open Studios – you can find out details of Jamie’s exhibition here.
