On Tuesday 23rd February 2016 a new event was launched at Hot Numbers Coffee, Gwydir Street, Cambridge. The highly attended Art Pop-Up run by Delia Naylor (Eclectic Mix) was a fantastic mix of late night shopping and live music; with Hot Numbers opening their bar for refreshments throughout the night. Local artists, designers and makers were invited along to showcase their work and it was great to see so many people in attendance and showing their support. The second event is taking place this evening – Monday 28th March 2016 – 7-9pm!
There was a great atmosphere and lots to see, the bar staff were very friendly and it was a fantastic opportunity to network with local artists and residents. The local artisans showcasing their work were:
Birgitte Bruun Jewellery
Claire Holmes (Jewellery)
Gillian Smith (Art)
Mari Kidd (Art)
Ruth Schmidt (Bags)
Lydia Woolston (Jewellery)
Rose Hague (Clothing)
The Little Cartoonist
Odell & Rae
Kate Welton Ceramics
Jacqueline Perry (Ceramics)
I hope to see the Art Pop-Up a regular fixture in the Hot Numbers calendar and wish Delia and Eclectic Mix every success with future events – we will have all upcoming dates over on the community What’s On page! It was lovely to meet so many inspirational and creative people at the event and I am pleased to announce that The Trove will be featuring Coded Storm’s Artist and Illustrator – Maria Merridan – throughout April.
I made a few purchases on the night and also wanted to share these with you:
Handmade Spring Bunting by Coded Storm
Postcard Illustrations by The Little Cartoonist
Narynda Skincare Face Care Pack
Handmade Trinket Dish by Jacqueline Perry
