Etsy Cambridge Christmas Fair 2015

Get your Christmas started with Etsy Cambridge!

Etsy Cambridge’s three-day pop-up Christmas Fair will be crammed to bursting with unique and delightful handmade gifts.

More than 30 hand-picked East Anglian designers, artists and craftspeople are turning their talents to creating everything from stylish handbags, cosy knitted accessories and designer clothes to ethereal art dolls, exquisite wire, paper and wooden jewellery, quirky, individual greetings cards, prints and Christmas ornaments. There will be cool crochet toys and crochet kits for crafty types, felted wool animals for nature lovers, hand-printed fabric and hand-spun wool, affordable handmade ceramics and homewares you won’t find anywhere else – look out for Jane Austen’s Bad Boys on a tea towel! Those with a taste for gifts with a history can visit our vintage hunter for a treasure trove of unexpected finds. This really will be a one-stop shop for your Christmas gift buying, whether you’re seeking one unforgettable special gift or a host of stocking-fillers for the family.

The Etsy Cambridge team will be taking up residence from Thursday 3rd to Saturday 5th December in the beautiful St Andrews Baptist church, on Cambridge’s St Andrews Street, next door to the Arts Picturehouse cinema and just three minutes from John Lewis and the bustling Grand Arcade shopping centre. The church’s on-site cafe, Livingstones, will be open every day for hot drinks, fantastic home-made cakes and light meals.

Thursday 3rd December: The Christmas fair opens to the public at 2pm, with special offers and relaxed late-night shopping until 8pm.

Friday 4th December: The fair will open from 10am to 6.30pm, offering gift-hunters stress-free browsing before the weekend.

Saturday 5th December: The unmissable last chance to see and buy Etsy Cambridge goodies in person before Christmas, from 10am to 6.30pm. We’ll be pulling out all the stops to make sure shoppers really feel that Christmas spirit building — and help them find the perfect pressies for all their loved ones! Mill Road’s Winter Fair will also be happening, so if you’re visiting there, why not make a day of it and take in the Etsy Cambridge Christmas Fair too, just a stroll away across Parker’s Piece, where the seasonal ice skating will also be in full swing!

Debbie Poyser of Etsy Cambridge’s leadership team commented: “The Christmas Fair is the biggest Etsy Cambridge event to date, over three days and with more artists and craftspeople than ever before. I think it will be great because it’s a lovely venue in a great location and the sellers have been hand-picked to not only ensure wonderful quality of work but also diversity. We thought about the kind of things we’d like to buy ourselves if we were shopping at a handmade Christmas event, and tried to cover all the bases. As usual, we’ll be decorating the venue and it should look gorgeous and festive!”
